The rest of the league had time to spare on Vernon Broughton; the Texans did not wait, grabbing him 100 spots ahead at pick No. 89. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Johnson steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
