The Ty French selection is the head-turner. The Panthers reached 309 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. It lands right in the middle: a C-, no more, no less.

Landing Swinson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
