The Seahawks did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Will Lee III fell into slot 78.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They will need Rutledge to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
