Draft Grade — Chiefs

Harris should have been long gone. The Chiefs pounced, and earned a B. Thirty-one other rooms let Tre Harris slide, and the Chiefs were the ones holding the card at No. 66. Highway robbery. No fireworks, but a solid B.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Mykel Williams
In the Round 1 slot they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick63
Rnd2
Aireontae Ersery
Aireontae Ersery at pick No. 63 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick66
Rnd3
Tre Harris
Tre Harris in the 66th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick95
Rnd3
Mason Taylor
Mason Taylor in the 95th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick132
Rnd4
Tommi Hill
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tommi Hill. It adds depth where they could use a little.
