They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Fernando Mendoza is the Saints' quarterback, full stop. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They are betting Height proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
