Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesC+ FutureB+
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Dolphins.

The Dolphins torched the value chart for Tyler Van Dyke, taking him 59 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

The McNeil-Warren steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In pick No. 12 they get a three-down second-level presence. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick43 Rnd2 Gennings Dunker
By-the-book stuff, Gennings Dunker at the 43rd pick squarely in line with his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick75 Rnd3 Keionte Scott
A slide stopped in pick 75, with Keionte Scott worth more than the price. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick87 Rnd3 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Circle this one: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at the 87th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick90 Rnd3 Chase Bisontis
They reached a country mile for Chase Bisontis at the Round 3 slot, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick111 Rnd4 Max Iheanachor
Value said wait; Max Iheanachor in slot 111 says they were not listening. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick149 Rnd5 Chase Roberts
They paid sticker price for Chase Roberts in the Round 5 slot, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick227 Rnd7 Tyler Van Dyke
They talked themselves into Tyler Van Dyke at the 227th overall pick, and the board did not agree. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
