Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Titans and Golday: B.

The Titans did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jake Golday fell into the Round 4 slot. No fireworks, but a solid B.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Peter Woods
In the 4th overall pick they get a bendy edge with upside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35 Rnd2 Chris Bell
Fair-plus on Chris Bell, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick66 Rnd3 Deontae Lawson
Nice patience on Deontae Lawson, who had no business lasting to the 66th pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick101 Rnd4 Jake Golday
Jake Golday at slot 101 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick141 Rnd5 Michael Trigg
The board had Michael Trigg higher than pick No. 141, and the tight end fell to them anyway. The roster fit checks out.
Pick143 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
No edge and no loss on Domani Jackson in Round 5, Pick 4; it is a wash and a sensible one. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick183 Rnd6 Bud Clark
A straight-up fair deal on Bud Clark at pick 183, value and slot in agreement. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick238 Rnd7 PJ Williams
PJ Williams at the Round 7 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
