The steal of the weekend belongs to the Giants and Mathews Jr.: B-.

Somebody in the 185th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Giants sat still while Jermaine Mathews Jr., the No. 164 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Every board in the league had Fano lower, and that gap is the story. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
