Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Knee-bend and technique are good and Cupp shows decent power when his hands hit the target.
  • A coordinated athlete and tough player to tackle, running with low pad level. Has good body thickness and strength.
  • Good vision to set up blocks and while he isn't quick enough to elude in tight quarters, and take advantage of a defender leaning to spring for additional yardage.
  • Cupp runs like a wide receiver, explosive off the line of scrimmage with exceptional quickness and body control for his size.
  • Has the burst off the snap to be split out wide in the NFL
  • Good effort at the point of attack and second level as a blocker. Intelligent and will quickly acclimate to an NFL offense.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • And he’ll need to become a sharper route runner, especially on option routes, to create separation at the intermediate level.
  • Inconsistent with his release off the line of scrimmage.
  • He’ll be coming to the NFL from a wide-open spread offense in which Cupp ran a limited route tree.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
