The tape said wait; the Giants did not. Jordan Hall went at the 101st overall pick, a good 212 picks before the board was ready. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. That Stockton pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
