You build a draft on nights like this. Malachi Fields had no business being available in pick 146, and the Commanders did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. The Haulcy pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with tight end, quarterback and other spots still on the board.

Payton has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
