The 49ers lost the trade table, and the D+ tells the story.

The 49ers torched the value chart for Boubacar Traore, taking him 36 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Too much went sideways, and the D+ is the honest tally.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The 49ers indulged a want in Little Jr. while a need in quarterback stayed open.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They banked enough surplus on Slaughter to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
