Golly Gee DRAFTING FOR THEChiefs
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Chiefs: B-. The Chiefs spent real capital to be 39 picks early on Derrick Moore, and the board is going to hold them to it.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. However the rest shakes out, Hubbard at that price is a win they earned.
They left with tight end solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Jeremiyah Love
In pick 14 they get a bell-cow for the offense. A real need, handled.
Pick45
Rnd2
Trevor Goosby
They paid a round early for Trevor Goosby in the 45th overall pick, more than the board wanted. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick76
Rnd3
Keith Abney II
Keith Abney II at No. 76 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick114
Rnd4
Derrick Moore
Derrick Moore in the 114th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick153
Rnd5
Bray Hubbard
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Bray Hubbard at Round 5, Pick 13 is the proof. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick176
Rnd5
Tanner Koziol
They did well to land Tanner Koziol in slot 176, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
