The Chiefs robbed the room for Carter Jr.. Final grade: B. You could see the war room lean forward. Terrance Carter Jr. at pick No. 176 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. The roster is better shaped than it was, with tight end chief among the fixes.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
