The Giants did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Drew Allar fell into the 182nd pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
