Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB
The Browns worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Browns should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Shuler at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Miller has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
In pick No. 22 they get a weapon on the perimeter, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick27 Rnd1 Kenyon Sadiq
In the Round 1 slot they get a moveable chess piece at tight end. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick28 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In the 28th pick they get a three-down second-level presence, and a steal at that. More want than need.
Pick32 Rnd1 Caleb Banks
In pick 32 they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick39 Rnd2 Isaiah World
They paid a round early for Isaiah World in slot 39, more than the board wanted. It fills a real need, too.
Pick64 Rnd2 Antonio Williams
Fair-plus on Antonio Williams, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick70 Rnd3 Brian Parker II
No edge and no loss on Brian Parker II in No. 70; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick110 Rnd4 Adon Shuler
Adon Shuler at Round 4, Pick 10 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick111 Rnd4 Blake Miller
The board had cheaper options than Blake Miller at No. 111, and it noticed. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick112 Rnd4 Xavier Scott
Nothing to complain about; Xavier Scott went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick140 Rnd5 Demond Claiborne
Demond Claiborne at pick 140 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick148 Rnd5 Iapani Laloulu
They took Iapani Laloulu at par in the 148th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick248 Rnd7 Riley Mahlman
Riley Mahlman in the Round 7 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
