No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Chiefs.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Chiefs walked out of the weekend still thin at wide receiver, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Sapp has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Job largely done: tight end settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
