Brock Vandagriff from Prince Avenue Christian High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. In 2022 as a sophomore he played in just 2 games as he passed for no yards on 2 attempts with a completion percent of 0 for an average of 0.0 yards per pass, with no TDs, while also taking no sacks, and putting up only QB rating of 39.6.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- He’s enough of a threat as a runner to make the read-option game effective.
- Vandagriff has a quick release and shows good accuracy on shorter throws when on the move to either side.
- Possesses a strong arm and is capable of making every NFL throw easily. Can drive the deep out to the sideline from the opposite hash and has no problem threading the needle between closing defenders. Easily zips to all areas of the field, demonstrating very good touch on underneath routes to running backs and receivers, as well as down the sideline on deep passes.
- From a physical standpoint, a prototypical modern quarterback.
- Athletic quarterback who is a threat to leave the pocket and gain positive yardage at any time. Possesses very good vision balance, elusiveness and deceptive speed and power as a runner.
- Ball placement is a strength. Vandagriff has the natural instincts to make plays when forced to improvise.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- His arm strength is decent but less than ideal; Vandagriff lacks a little zip, and accuracy becomes an issue when he’s unable or unwilling to set his feet.
- He’s far too quick to lower his eyes and look for a running lane after moving off his first read (too many plays in college that won’t translate to the NFL).
- Needs to improve his touch at all levels and know when to gun it and when to take something off his throws. Accuracy is solid, but far from great with streaky ball placement downfield as he tries to thread the needle too much.

The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
