- Dual-threat QB with the wheels to extend plays and pick up chunks on the ground
- High football IQ, demonstrates ability to process defenses and make pre-snap reads
- Quick trigger allows for success in timing-based passing attacks
- Shows grit in the pocket, willing to stand tall and deliver with rushers bearing down

Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Lacks prototypical NFL QB size, raising concerns about durability and ability to see over the trenches
- Doesn't possess a howitzer for an arm, limiting vertical passing game potential
- Inconsistent throwing mechanics, especially in lower body, leading to occasional accuracy issues
- Limited experience against top-tier competition may lead to a steep learning curve at the next level
- Can be overly aggressive extending plays, potentially leading to ball security issues in the pros
Scouting Report: Summary
Rogers enters the NFL draft as a developmental prospect with significant hurdles to overcome. His 6'0", 195 lb frame lacks prototypical NFL quarterback size, potentially limiting his ability to see over offensive lines and raising durability concerns. While his college production improved yearly, culminating in a strong final season at North Texas, the leap to NFL-caliber defenses will test his processing speed and decision-making under pressure. His mobility and improved accuracy on short to intermediate throws could make him suitable for West Coast or RPO-heavy systems. However, questions remain about his arm strength for challenging NFL secondaries consistently on deep routes. Rogers' experience in multiple college systems demonstrates adaptability, but also raises concerns about why he didn't solidify a starting role earlier in his career.
At the next level, Rogers faces an uphill battle to secure a roster spot. His most viable path may be through a practice squad, where he can develop without immediate game pressure. To succeed, he'll need to quickly acclimate to NFL speed, improve arm strength, and prove he can operate effectively from the pocket despite size limitations. Even then, Rogers may need to consider alternative professional leagues to gain experience before potentially returning for another NFL opportunity.
