The Raiders clearly saw something nobody else did in Sav'ell Smalls, taking him 407 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. It lands right in the middle: a C, no more, no less.
Everything downstream of Shedeur Sanders depends on Shedeur Sanders, and the building knows it. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.
It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 1 they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Value said wait; Sav'ell Smalls in the 34th overall pick says they were not listening. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Dayon Hayes in the Round 3 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
