The Texans torched the value chart for James Williams, taking him 49 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The board sounded every alarm, and the F is the fallout.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with quarterback still staring back at them.
Pick-by-Pick
They liked Chris Braswell enough to skip the value, taking him in the 23rd overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They reached a country mile for T'Vondre Sweat at No. 36, and the board is aghast. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Cooper Beebe in pick No. 40, miles early. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
