You build a draft on nights like this. Matt Goncalves had no business being available in slot 137, and the Eagles did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Melton pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at cornerback and interior defensive lineman.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
