You build a draft on nights like this. Kevin Winston Jr. had no business being available in the 163rd overall pick, and the Vikings did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.
The back end got a real overhaul.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
A quiet steal in the Round 1 slot: Jahdae Barron for less than the market said. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Jordan James in the 97th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They robbed the room for Jake Majors here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Kevin Winston Jr. in Round 5, Pick 26 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
