The Raiders spent real capital to be 81 picks early on Devin Culp, and the board is going to hold them to it.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 17 they get an island corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Good price on Jordan Morgan in slot 44, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
No edge and no loss on Junior Colson in pick No. 48; it is a wash and a sensible one. A minor need, but a need all the same.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Zak Zinter. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Johnny Wilson at pick 112 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
