The phones were a trap the Eagles kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.
The Moore pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
If Kevin Winston Jr. and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 31 they get a downhill hitter at safety at fair value. A real need, handled.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Lander Barton. A minor itch, scratched.
They took T.J. Sanders at par in slot 86, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They robbed the room for Rod Moore here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Deion Burks slipping to the Round 3 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
J.C. Davis in Round 4, Pick 25 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A quiet steal in slot 127: Aireontae Ersery for less than the market said. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Brant Kuithe in pick 200 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The roster fit checks out.
Jason Henderson at the 202nd overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
They will replay Zy Alexander at pick No. 216 for years; that is how good the value is. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
