The Raiders torched the value chart for Jaylon Hutchings, taking him 161 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

Landing Oladapo that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.12 · Pick 44 · Patrick Paul · OT · rank 48
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Patrick Paul. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R3.11 · Pick 75 · Jarrian Jones · CB · rank 123
They reached into another round for Jarrian Jones, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R3.13 · Pick 77 · Blake Fisher · OT · rank 100
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Blake Fisher. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R4.12 · Pick 112 · Tommy Eichenberg · LB · rank 127
Tommy Eichenberg at the 112th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R5.14 · Pick 150 · Jaylan Ford · LB · rank 177
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jaylan Ford in the Round 5 slot, miles early. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
R6.15 · Pick 190 · Kitan Oladapo · S · rank 166
They barely believed it either: Kitan Oladapo still on the board at No. 190. It adds depth where they could use a little.
R7.14 · Pick 234 · Jaylon Hutchings · DL · rank 395
A big swing on Jaylon Hutchings at Round 7, Pick 14, well ahead of any board in the building. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
