The Vikings spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.
They are betting All proves the room right and everyone else wrong. However the rest shakes out, Brownlee Jr. at that price is a win they earned.
A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.

In No. 11 they get a long-term answer under center at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In pick No. 23 they get a double-digit-sack hope. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They took Leonard Taylor III at par in slot 108, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jarvis Brownlee Jr. is a better player than the 129th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Trevor Keegan in the 157th overall pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A big swing on Tahj Washington at Round 5, Pick 31, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Erick All at pick 177 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
