Somebody took the Vikings to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
They have staked the next five years on Jayden Daniels, which is the only story that really matters here. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 8 they get the face of the franchise. The biggest hole, addressed.
In the 11th pick they get an anchor for the defensive front at fair value. A real need, handled.
Troy Franklin slipping to pick 42 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Kris Abrams-Draine in slot 130 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Javion Cohen at the Round 5 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Cole Bishop is a better player than No. 160 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Ben Sinnott slid further than he should have, and Round 5, Pick 29 is lovely value for the tight end. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jaylen Harrell at the 179th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Steele Chambers at Round 7, Pick 10. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
