The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Vikings spent their marquee pick on J.J. McCarthy, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. If Taylor III pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The Jones steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
