The search is over. The Vikings handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
The Rosemy-Jacksaint steal is the beam this whole class leans on. For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. Robinson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 4 they get the face of the franchise. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They took Chris Braswell at par in pick 42, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Elijah Jones at Round 4, Pick 17 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Mohamed Kamara at the 139th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They went early on Layden Robinson in the 167th pick, and the value did not follow. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A slide stopped in the Round 7 slot, with JD Bertrand worth more than the price. A minor itch, scratched.
You do not let a wide receiver like Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint reach pick No. 232 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
