When a board-topper like Rasheen Ali slides to the 239th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Texans did not.
That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Nate Wiggins is a better player than pick No. 23 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Kingsley Suamataia in No. 58 is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
The board had Cooper Beebe higher than the Round 3 slot, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
