The Raiders spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Noah Fifita, the No. 109 name on the board, in pick 205. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th overall pick they get a home-run threat at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
They will replay Denzel Burke at pick 45 for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
You do not let a safety like Sebastian Castro reach the Round 3 slot and blink. They did not. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Jabbar Muhammad at pick No. 109 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Somehow Trevor Etienne was still sitting there in slot 118, and they pounced on premier running back value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Ashton Gillotte in the 141st pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Steal is underselling it; Collin Oliver at Round 6, Pick 8 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Noah Fifita in No. 205, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
