Call it larceny. Wyatt Milum sat on the board until slot 205, and the Raiders did not need to be asked twice.
Everything downstream of Shedeur Sanders depends on Shedeur Sanders, and the building knows it. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th pick they get a franchise quarterback at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Nice patience on Jabbar Muhammad, who had no business lasting to pick No. 45. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Circle this one: Xavier Restrepo at slot 77 is a fall that decides a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Tyler Baron in pick 109 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
You do not let a safety like Sebastian Castro reach No. 141 and blink. They did not. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at the 173rd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. It fills a real need, too.
Steal is underselling it; Wyatt Milum at the 205th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
