The Trajan Jeffcoat selection is the head-turner. The Raiders reached 79 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. That Williams pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. The veteran additions, Cooper Kupp chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
