Some picks age like wine; Donovan Jackson at the 90th pick will need to, sitting 26 spots clear of his grade. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
Mitchell falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most. A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Adonai Mitchell at the Round 2 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Donovan Jackson in pick No. 90 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Jahdae Barron at the 123rd pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A straight-up fair deal on Javon Foster at No. 126, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They reached a country mile for Trey Knox at the 163rd overall pick, and the board is aghast. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They paid a round early for Edefuan Ulofoshio in No. 239, more than the board wanted. It fills a real need, too.
They reached into another round for Jarquez Hunter, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
