Somebody took the Eagles to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Landing McCormick that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
If Dallas Turner and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
They read the board right and Dallas Turner was the payoff at Round 1, Pick 22. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A slide stopped in the 50th overall pick, with Kamari Lassiter worth more than the price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Javon Bullard at No. 53. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A premium they did not need to pay, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. a notch or two before his time. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Mekhi Wingo at pick No. 120 is money in the bank, a interior defensive lineman taken below his worth. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Mason McCormick slipping to the 161st pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
