You build a draft on nights like this. Lander Barton had no business being available in pick No. 216, and the Raiders did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

They are betting Howard proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The Campbell pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with cornerback and tight end still on the board.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.

In the end it comes back to Landon Jackson, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
