The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Eagles watched Jabbar Muhammad slide 32 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Schrader reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.18 · Pick 50 · Tyler Nubin · S · rank 34
Nice patience on Tyler Nubin, who had no business lasting to Round 2, Pick 18. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R2.23 · Pick 55 · Kris Jenkins · DL-EDGE · rank 49
A clean, defensible pick in the 55th overall pick with a little surplus value in Kris Jenkins. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R2.28 · Pick 60 · Denzel Burke · CB · rank 52
Denzel Burke slipping to No. 60 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R3.23 · Pick 86 · Mike Sainristil · CB · rank 87
Mike Sainristil in slot 86 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R4.14 · Pick 114 · Jalen McMillan · WR · rank 85
Jalen McMillan in the Round 4 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R4.28 · Pick 128 · Donovan Jackson · OG · rank 125
Donovan Jackson at pick No. 128 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It fills a real need, too.
R5.1 · Pick 137 · Cole Bishop · S · rank 135
No drama and no debate, Cole Bishop went about where he belonged in the 137th pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.20 · Pick 156 · Cody Schrader · RB · rank 174
Cody Schrader in pick 156 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R5.36 · Pick 172 · Malik Washington · WR · rank 158
A slide stopped in pick 172, with Malik Washington worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R5.39 · Pick 175 · Jaylen Wright · RB · rank 163
Jaylen Wright at the 175th pick is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R6.2 · Pick 177 · LaDarius Henderson · OT · rank 170
A tidy little value on LaDarius Henderson in pick No. 177, a step better than break-even. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R6.3 · Pick 178 · Moose Muhammad III · WR · rank 159
You do not let a wide receiver like Moose Muhammad III reach No. 178 and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R6.11 · Pick 186 · J. Michael Sturdivant · WR · rank 168
J. Michael Sturdivant in the 186th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R7.15 · Pick 235 · Jabbar Muhammad · CB · rank 203
A cornerback of that caliber at Round 7, Pick 15 is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R7.17 · Pick 237 · Isaiah Williams · WR · rank 215
Isaiah Williams at the Round 7 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R7.25 · Pick 245 · Omar Speights · LB · rank 226
Steal is underselling it; Omar Speights at slot 245 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R7.28 · Pick 248 · Darius Muasau · LB · rank 243
Nothing to complain about; Darius Muasau went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
R7.29 · Pick 249 · Zion Nelson · OT · rank 256
By-the-book stuff, Zion Nelson at slot 249 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
