The Eagles spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jawhar Jordan, the No. 214 name on the board, in the 240th overall pick.

Every board in the league had Abrams-Draine lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
