Somebody took the Raiders to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.
The Sanders pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.
They will need Lambert-Smith to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left cornerback open, and the grade is the bill.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 6 they get a disruptor off the edge. The biggest hole, addressed.
In the 12th pick they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Kenneth Grant at slot 37 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Nick Emmanwori in pick 49, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
They let Jaxson Dart come to them and pounced at pick No. 68. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Dylan Sampson in Round 3, Pick 9 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Quinshon Judkins in pick 107 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The roster fit checks out.
Oronde Gadsden II at Round 5, Pick 5 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
KeAndre Lambert-Smith at the 182nd pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Somehow Raheim Sanders was still sitting there in No. 214, and they pounced on premier running back value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
