There is conviction, and then there is this. The Raiders took Drake Nugent a full 71 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. That Schrader pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.
In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.

The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Drake Nugent. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Luke McCaffrey well ahead of where he belonged. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Javion Cohen in slot 150 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A running back of that caliber at the Round 6 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
