Thirty-one other rooms let Hollin Pierce slide, and the Eagles were the ones holding the card at pick 169. Highway robbery.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Nick Emmanwori at pick No. 32. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Smael Mondon Jr. in slot 129 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A minor need, but a need all the same.
The board fumbled Kyren Lacy all the way to the 162nd pick, and they scooped it up. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Taking Hollin Pierce in pick 169 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It fills a real need, too.
Somehow Jarquez Hunter was still sitting there in Round 7, Pick 39, and they pounced on premier running back value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
