The trade table was a mismatch, and the Texans were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.
A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Denzel Burke at Round 2, Pick 10, value and slot in agreement. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Tory Horton in the Round 3 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
