Call it larceny. De'Corian Clark sat on the board until pick No. 240, and the Texans did not need to be asked twice.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.
They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Kalen King slid further than he should have, and slot 53 is lovely value for the cornerback. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A slide stopped in the 95th pick, with McKinnley Jackson worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Ben Sinnott at the 121st overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
No edge and no loss on Tommy Eichenberg in Round 4, Pick 24; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Nice patience on Donovan Edwards, who had no business lasting to No. 158. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
