The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jarrian Jones fell into slot 171.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Bryce Huff pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They took Kingsley Suamataia at par in slot 50, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
No drama and no debate, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. went about where he belonged in pick 53. It adds depth where they could use a little.
By-the-book stuff, Malik Washington at the Round 3 slot squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
