Nobody else had Dwight McGlothern anywhere near the 183rd pick. The Raiders did, by 97 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 26th overall pick they get a lockdown presence outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 44 with a little surplus value in Tyler Guyton. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They took Payton Wilson at par in No. 66, which is nothing to complain about. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
By-the-book stuff, Braden Fiske at Round 3, Pick 13 squarely in line with his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
Zak Zinter at slot 91 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Jarrian Jones in the Round 4 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Renardo Green in pick No. 139 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Dwight McGlothern in No. 183, miles early. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
