McKinnley Jackson in pick No. 109 is a quiet win that props up the whole weekend for the Vikings.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. Every board in the league had Eboigbe lower, and that gap is the story.
Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 11 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
A quiet steal in the 55th pick: T.J. Tampa for less than the market said. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They paid sticker price for TreVeyon Henderson in pick 89, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board had McKinnley Jackson higher than slot 109, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They took Kris Abrams-Draine at par in Round 4, Pick 22, which is nothing to complain about. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Beaux Limmer. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A straight-up fair deal on Jaylan Ford at pick 148, value and slot in agreement. A minor itch, scratched.
Ainias Smith at the 163rd pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The roster fit checks out.
LaDarius Henderson at pick No. 164 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A reach for Justin Eboigbe in the Round 5 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No edge and no loss on Sam Hartman in No. 179; it is a wash and a sensible one. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Brevyn Spann-Ford at slot 230 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Good price on Evan Williams in Round 7, Pick 30, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
