The Cardinals' one glaring miss is quarterback, a need they left exactly as they found it. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
On value alone, Robinson makes the weekend a net positive. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 2 they get a go-to option on the outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In pick 21 they get a premier pass rusher, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Josh Newton in the 34th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A tidy little value on Byron Murphy II in No. 66, a step better than break-even. It fills a real need, too.
They took Howard Cross III at par in the 70th pick, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Nazir Stackhouse. The roster fit checks out.
