The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Shedeur Sanders, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Henderson. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 6 they get the face of the franchise. A clean fit for the roster.
Isaiah Bond at the 37th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Dylan Fairchild is a better player than the 68th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Zy Alexander slipping to No. 73 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They barely believed it either: TreVeyon Henderson still on the board at slot 107. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
