The phones were a trap the Raiders kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The warnings were there, and the F is the bill.
The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
The cost of the Logan Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him. However the rest shakes out, Wiggins at that price is a win they earned.
The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 3 they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Somehow Nate Wiggins was still sitting there in pick 44, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
No edge and no loss on Leonard Taylor III in the 113th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They paid sticker price for Javon Foster in the 127th pick, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Kenny Logan Jr. in the Round 6 slot, miles early. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A reach on Nathaniel Watson in pick No. 231; the board had better options right there. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
